You can combine these cards with Sparring Student and Shadow Apprentice to swarm the board and deal a lot of damage. Haunted Relic and Onslaught of Shadows allow you to use spell mana to summon multiple Ephemerals. Once you have leveled Hecarim, for the rest of the game you can create immense damage output with your Ephemerals that your opponent can’t keep up with. You can easily level Hecarim in this deck via Shark Chariots and Haunted Relic.
When Hecarim is leveled, he makes all Ephemerals gain +3|0 for the rest of the game even if he leaves the field. Hecarim is the star of the show in this deck due to his new buff. This helps produce damage output for the aggro gameplan, revives Shark Chariot, and buffs Sparring Student/Shadow Apprentice. He outputs 6 damage on turn 3, and summons an Ephemeral. Zed plays a simple yet effective role in this deck. Zed and Hecarim are your Champions of the deck. You can use this on Shark Chariot in the early game to output pressure and set up your Shark Chariots in grave. This is particularly strong on units that are already Ephemeral because then they are just discounted by 1 for free. Oblivious Islander allows you to discount a unit by 1 and give it Ephemeral. Shark Chariot also combines well with Dragons Ambush to apply huge pressure on turns that you don’t have the attack token. You can get multiple Shark Chariots in grave to snowball the pressure they create every turn. Since this deck is an Ephemeral deck, Ephemerals will likely be attacking every turn. Shark Chariot revives itself attacking whenever Ephemerals attack. Shark Chariot is the centerpiece of the deck and Oblivious Islander makes him that much better. These effects are also not once per round so that you can activate them multiple times with cards such as Shark Chariot. Sparring Student gains +1|+1 whenever you summon a unit, while Shadow Apprentice gains +1/0 whenever you summon an Ephemeral.īoth of these cards combine well with Haunted Relic to reach massive attack stats for the early game. These cards help apply immense early game pressure because of their ability to raise their stats. Sparring Student and Shadow Apprentice are your 1 drops of the deck. You want to mulligan for one drop such as Sparring Student and Oblivious Islander. This also makes your Dragon Ambushs threaten lethal much easier. Shark Chariot makes all of your Ephemeral attacks more potent because it revives itself when Ephemerals attack. In this deck, you want to mulligan hard for Shark Chariot. The game ends around turns 6-7 with a leveled Hecarim or Dragons Ambush. Attacking with Ephemerals revives Shark Chariot attacking and helps level Hecarim.
